About
Beverly Fort is an Actor, Playwright, and Frontwoman based in Brooklyn. Their career in New York has centered around staging and reading new works with their peers, primarily with The Medusa Collective and Ghost Light Theatre Company. Having attended Marymount Manhattan’s BFA Acting program, Beverly has been noted by the faculty for their depthful textual analysis and understanding of complex characters that they bring a rich nuance to. Their journey in the arts began with the support of the classical music world, starting on the piano at a young age and moving to violin in middle school, eventually placing them in a full orchestra that they acted as a section leader for for eight years. Within this time they ventured to other instruments and styles as well, picking up the guitar, banjo, and harmonica. Currently their musical endeavors rest within their punk band ‘P.E.F.’ that they write, sing, and play in.
